My connection to Hopeful Parents

I'm Mommy to a 6 year old son with Asperger's Syndrome/high-functioning autism, severe sensory integration issues and anxiety. We adopted our dear little guy from South Africa at the age of 6 months. We have also just completed a second adoption from China! I work part-time as a vision therapist for a local optometry office and also have a small business called Cuddle Bug Kids where I design and create products for kids with sensory issues. While I love being a Mom, I often find myself overwhelmed by the needs of my little guy. I'm always looking to connect with others who can bring me some wisdom in our journey or who I might be able to encourage!

Coming Out Of My Cave

I have in the 7 years since our son’s adoption lived in a cave of my own making.
