The "Big A - Talk".....

So here's a question for all you wise folk out there. How does one know when the time has come to have the big "Autism" talk? Is there a hard and fast rule? Is there a right and a wrong time to enter that unchartered territory??

Ive found myself starting to question that alot more with my boy. Ive been on a buying spree (thanks amazon!), stocking up on books for the future and 2 that I have, offer a nice entry into the world of autism...along the lines of Temple…

Do you ever just want to "wish it away" ??

There are days when I look at my son, and I dont see the autism...I just see my boy...and then I fall into the trap of thinking..."Has it gone?"..

and then it hits me...through the repetitive and endless monolgues of movies, relating them to how he is feeling or seeing the world right at that minute... BUGGER!!..The autism is still there...

Its not that Im doing a "woe is me"...my relationship with autism is a love / hate one. There are days when I think I am SO lucky…
