Group Vs. Individual?
~Random thoughts & events from yesterday~
Kyle has been seeing a counselor since his hospitalization this past November. He goes once a week, four times per month, for an hour each visit. His counselor is very engaging towards my son and seems genuinely interested in Kyle as an individual child. Unfortunately, Kyle never wants to go. He calls his counselor a "Hard Doctor". A Remarkable Remark
Today Kyle's teacher pulled me aside when I arrived for his end of the year awards ceromony. She had an expression of joy as she said, "I am so proud of him. He has just done so well this year in his reading and spelling and he has just grown up so much".
The truth is, this was a very rough year for us as a family. His transition from Special Education to a Mainstream environment was very stressful for him.
