where parents of kids with special needs connect
Just because the proper environment, with the right supports and positive results are achieved - does NOT mean the illness, issues etc do not exist for the child. Parents can be blamed for the child doing well in school, and not in the Community.

Comment by Heather Amy Price on December 22, 2011 at 11:45pm I have twins---- I can take EITHER twin ANYWHERE with pecs, social stories, warnings, counting, all sorts of supports--- EITHER of my twin does well with me one on one. I can't take BOTH anywhere because their behaviors feed off each other. As soon as she lies down and refuses to leave a place, I need both hands to pick her up. While I do that, he bites random people because he turns into the tazmanian devil--- his biggest problem is when she misbehaves. I LOVE that they're both in special ed but in DIFFERENT preschool classes away from each other.
