I sure do wish I would reply directly to Accidental as well as others, but this just seems to only allow a stream of responses :( ....
Hello AE, I am soooooo glad you are here, were are not yet a cohesive unit, but the more the merrier! I think we each need to add our own bits and blurbs as we see fit to start the dialogue.
AE, What is NCLD? My dauter is 10-- and also diagnosed with bipolar I. She is having a rather rough time lately (so we are too). The clinical trial she has been participating in is ending on Friday, so we have some difficult changes to make regaring medications. I know it is lonely, exhausting and isolating. Please know that you are now alone, even though we are small, we are here, Also, find more support networks and education out there like those linked here: http://www.lifestwistedstitches.com/p/children-with-bipolar-resourc...

Hello,

I'm new here.  I have a 12 yr old daughter with alphabet soup -- ADHD, NVLD, Bipolar and Generalized Anxiety disorders.  We're having a rough time of it right now.  Hoping to connect with other parents for support and ideas.  Thanks.

I found this group via a blog I follow and it is very nice to have a place to connect to other parents who know what we are going through. Our beautiful 9 year old daughter has a brain disorder that affects all aspects of her development. But after seeing many, many doctors and being told that nobody has seen anything like her, we finally found a doctor who recongnized a lot of her behavior issues as fitting into a bi-polar model. She has been taking a "cocktail" of diffrent meds for almost two years now. She is closely followed by her doctor and her meds are tweaked when needed. We now are experincing our own verison of normalcy. Great to be here.
