Hi all. I am Jen, mom to two wonderful kids, Katie 6, and Ben (almost 4). Katie is dx with high functioning Autism, but if it weren't for the speech delay I would really feel she falls more on the Asperger's side. I am really glad to have found such a great community like this!
Hi Jen,
Our daughters sound very similar! My 5 1/2 year old has the same diagnosis but her 2 child psychs say she fits more the Asperger diagnosis except for her early diagnosis of expressive language delay. I also have a soon-to-be 2 year old little girl. Life if busy, scary at times, but wonderful! Nice to meet you and welcome! :)

My 9yo also had an early expressive language delay. Between what he could speak and what he could sign, though, by the time he was 2 1/2 he didn't qualify for an ASD diagnosis. He did receive an educational classification of Asperger's in kindergarten, though. We're not convinced, but it's the closest anyone's come. :)
My son was given a PDD-NOS diagnosis because he did not fit all the "categories" for Asperger's, but I suspect he is more along the line of Asperger's. He will be 7 in Dec.
